The Wrestler song was left out from the Oscars, and I was pissed.
Great review of Crazy Heart. I thought it was great. Jeff Bridges puts the SECOND best acting performance this year. First would go to Christoph Waltz, hands down.
Kick-Ass, looks simply put... Kick ass.
Your Avatar review was pretty spot on, but I had a lot of fun at the theater. And I think it was good, sure the plot was derivative but I think the direction and the visuals were SO good that I didn't care so much. Sure I noticed it, sure I was a little disappointed, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Oh god, it's all coming back now...
Springsteen....The Oscars....THE WRESTLER....not even nominated for best picture......utterly snubbed....Mickey Rourke didn't win best actor.....MILK won best original screenplay....BENJAMIN BUTTON was nominated for best picture?! NOOOO!!!!
I had wiped last year's Oscar ceremony from my memory. It's all so clear. TOO clear.

I think it's interesting that both Transformers 2 and Avatar (didn't like the former, loved the latter) have, in their own ways, created a dialogue about the extent that expensive, good-looking movies need a good storyline as well. Again, not to compare the two (Avatar accomplished much more for movies).
Good review too. I never thought of Crazy Heart as this year's The Wrestler. Keep it up, you guys.

Have you guys ever seen Tender Mercies? A little like Crazy Heart, Robert Duvall gives a performance that is comparable to Jeff Bridges.
