Please, accept the mystery.  Nit Picket Podcast #39.

Aaron and I attempt to find meaning in our movie-loving-lives as we discuss the newest Job-eqsue journey from Joel and Ethan Coen, A Serious Man.  We also take in the much anticipated Spike Jonze adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are, and the new Jamie Foxx/Gerard Butler cat-and-mouse thriller, Law Abiding Citizen.  In the world of television we're talking two new season premieres with Emmy favorite, 30 Rock, and [adult swim] fan favorite, The Venture Bros.  How do we somehow manage to talk about Transformers 2, every week?  Shia haunts our every dream.

The song by the Cars you guys thought was called "More Than A Feeling" is really called "Just What I Needed." "More Than A Feeling" is by Boston.

That's what I thought too but I didn't have the heart to tell Leland. It's a rarity when he sings, and I didn't want to interrupt the moment. Haha, thanks for listening!

Spike Jonze direction is always so amazing, i'm glad that you talked about his relation to skate videos. Girl Yeah Right could have been released in theaters it was so amazing along with Lakai Fully Flared. And even back to the Blinds Video Days film which almost twenty years later is still just as good as non spike jonze skate videos.

Agreed, FULLY FLARED was epic. He's got a great body of work that is more than just his feature films. Thanks for listening!

Yeah I went and saw Law Abiding Citizen's with my husband not to long ago. Let me tell you I sooo didn’t want to watch this. I thought the commercials were so corny and that it was going to be horrible! I watched some reviews of the movie with him just looking for any reason to talk him out of dragging me to see it, but nothing worked so grudgingly I gave in and we went and watched it. I was surprised in the end that actually enjoyed it. Yeah somewhere half way through I was like "Oh come one really?" but it never really lost me. But all in all it was pretty good I was kind of happy I went and saw it though I think I would have been just as happy just renting it.
