Eat a brownie.  Nit Picket Podcast #32.

Aaron and I are cleaning our knives and sharpening our axes to discuss some of the newest horror movies down at our local movie theaters.  First we discuss the latest horror remake from Rob Zombie, Halloween 2, and we figure whether The Final Destination is any funnier/scarier in 3D than it's humble 2D predecessors.  We wrap everything up by discussing a few smaller independent films including Adam and the new relationship centric mumblecore flick, Nights and Weekends.

Have either of you seen the trailer for PRECIOUS?? It looked awesome, at least until I saw Tyler Perry's name attached... with Oprah's-ugghhh. Despite this, my eyes were watering by the end.

I have seen the trailer for PRECIOUS. I believe Mariah Carey plays a guidance counselor and Alicia Keys a teacher? Personally, it looks like the type of films that I have no interest in. The movies that evoke emotional reactions by beating you over the head with depression at every turn. (Almost like an episode of OPRAH or the film FROZEN RIVER) HOWEVER, trailers can be very misleading and it looks like it could have a HUSTLE AND FLOW vibe, a film I quite enjoyed. Also I'm a white kid with a podcast from Olympia, WA so a film about a big, pregnant, African American girl from the inner city doesn't exactly speak to me.

Thank you so much for listening, Julia!!! I always appreciate getting your comments!
