Fuck that shit. Is this whole thing real or are the parts with real celebrities shopped in from a different thing? If it's real I just lost a ton of respect for the other actors in there. I realize the past few years Nic Cage hasn't been in the best of films. But I don't care, you don't just badmouth fellow actors like that. I could get it if it were like a roast or something, but this just seems in poor taste. I read a lot of good reviews for Knowing from respected critics (Ebert loved it) and there are dozens of films that he's been in that I thoroughly enjoy. The man won an Oscar dammit. I'd like to see some of the actors in this last over 20 years as leading actors in major Hollywood films. Sorry to be ranting, but I think Nicolas Cage gets too much flak. The man does the movies he thinks will be fun for him, fuck everyone else.

All of the celebrity bits were from the "Just Don't Vote" ad that a ton of celebrities were in back before the election trying to encourage people to vote. I'm sure it's on YouTube somewhere.
I agree with a lot of your sentiment, Ry Guy. Nic Cage has been in some great flicks and has turned in some really solid work as an actor. LEAVING LAS VEGAS, ADAPTATION, MATCHSTICK MEN, 8 MM, RAISING ARIZONA all come to mind as exemplary films with outstanding performances from Cage. The man has an incredibly respectable catalogue of work that most actors hope to achieve.
That said, he's done a lot of shitty movies and should be pickier about his projects. I think a little mocking is deserved. Nic Cage owns his own island. This video made me laugh. Everyone wins.

Also the man has been cranking out 2-3 movies a year since the early 90's. There's bound to be multiple clunkers in there. Just watch, his next film will be amazing and everyone will get all pissy about it. Ok I'm done now.

I just want to go on record saying that Nicholas Cage's performance in Adaptation is phenomenal and that movie is probably in my top50 of all time.
That being said...the video's still funny. haha
