Things I Love: BURN-E: a short film from Pixar

Okay, so maybe this is a little bit of "old" news for some but it's definitely new to me. I recently picked up Wall-E on DVD and found an interesting little short on there called Burn-E. Ever wonder who that robot is at about the hour mark of Wall-E that gets locked out of the spaceship after Eve and Wall-E return from their magical time in space? Have no idea what the hell I'm talking about? Good. You're probably not alone.
Regardless, the short revolves around a robot named Burn-E who is constantly trying to fix a light on the outside of the infamous spaceship: Axion. For one reason or another, Burn-E is having a tough time getting his assignment done and what ensues is a seven-minute, dialogue-free, absolutely brilliant short that'll have you laughing, smiling and marveling at this simple yet effective little story of yet another adorable robot. If you have Wall-E on DVD you should really check it out on a big television to get the full effect...but if not, watch it right here. Enjoy.

Is it ridiculous that I still don't own Wall-E? The answer is yes, and I'm buying it tomorrow.
