Tonight's episode of Flight of the Conchords is titled "A New Cup."

I wrote a review of the season premiere and I talked about how disappointed and worried I was with where Flight of the Conchords is heading.  I did rewatch the premiere and it really just reinforced a lot of my doubts while also reminding me that there is some fun still to be had.  Jemaine, Bret, and Murray are freaking hilarious together.  The dry humor combined with their New Zealand accents really does create a deadpan style of comedy that I absolutely love.  I also forgot to mention how much I love Kristen Schaal, who plays Conchords superfan Mel.  However, after rewatching the premiere and seeing this promo I keep feeling more and more underwhelmed by the music video aspect of the series.  More than anything, they're a chance for me to check my cell phone or get another Coke.  I want more dead pan humor and less broad silly gags of two New Zealander's dancing and rapping.  

Flight of the Conchords airs tonight on HBO, at 10:00 PM.
