The top 3 for December 24th, 2008
Did anyone catch the finale of The Hills? Yes, the show is dumber than mud and it often makes my head want to explode, but I can't help but watch every single episode. The finale was fucking epic. Here's the top 3 comics I'm most excited about for Wednesday, December 24th, 2008.

Savage Dragon #143
Story, art, and cover by Erik Larsen
Ever since Erik Larsen left his position as the head of Image Comics he's been putting out Savage Dragon on a monthly basis. This pleases me greatly. Savage Dragon is such a fun book that has a great old school feel that makes it absolutely makes it a great read.

Umbrella Academy Dallas #2
Written by Gerard Way
Art by Gabriel Ba'
I really wasn't sure if Umbrella Academy Dallas was going to be any good but Gerard Way knocked the first issue out of the park. I thought the first series could've been a fluke but the guy obviously has talent and an eye for writing great comics. It's a refreshing and unique read amongst all of the typical Marvel and DC books every week.

New Avengers #48
Written by Brian Michael Bendis
Pencils by Billy Tan
I love Bendis' New Avengers. The problem with team books like this is you often lose the characters and everyone kind of melds into one character. This is not the case with the New Avengers. Each character has a distinct voice and Bendis' sense of humor is always welcome. This issue is the first time they're adjusting the lineup of the team and I couldn't be more ecstatic to have Cap back on the team, even if it is Bucky.
One more day true believers.
